Design + interior architecture

A minimal yet elegantly playful approach to designing unique interiors, with thoughtful consideration to lifestyle, function, architecture, landscape and brand expression.

Dermatology Boutique

This project was accomplished while in association with Studio Lifestyle.

Beatriz contributed to this project as a senior designer and project manager.

A new dermatology boutique finds its first home at the heart of the West Hollywood Design District. The interior of this 1670 sf retail space was completely gutted and reconfigured to take advantage of the abundance of natural light.  A soothing color palette and subtle interior architectural details were designed to create a sense of weightlessness in this rejuvenating sanctuary.

1930s Spanish Revival Remodel

This project was accomplished while in association with Studio Lifestyle.

Beatriz contributed to this project as a senior designer and project manager.

Located in a charming Larchmont neighborhood in Los Angeles, a 1930s Spanish Revival home goes under a complete remodel of three guest bathrooms and one master suite.  The layout with each bathroom was reconfigured to improve circulation and adapt the space to a modern lifestlyle while keeping the aesthetics true to its Spanish architectural roots.

West LA Kitchen Remodel

This project was accomplished while in association with Studio Lifestyle.

Beatriz contributed to this project as a senior designer and project manager.

A young couple with a baby on the way moves into a new home - and a modern kitchen is in order to support the young family's new routine.  The milky-white chinaware creates an interesting contrast against the sophisticated grey cabinetry. The brass hardware, walnut furniture and weathered leather seats add just the right amount of warmth.  The simple white linen shade becomes a wonderful soft light-filtering backdrop in the early mornings.

Private Residence

A 1940s Los Angeles cottage effortlessly transforms into a seaside retreat.  The young creative couple enjoy a lazy Sunday morning sipping on coffee while reading and listening to music.  A blend of natural textures and nautical-to-neutral tones with pops of color, creates a relaxing yet fun environment for entertaining friends.

Office Tenant Improvement

This project was accomplished while in association with Rockefeller Partners Architects.

Beatriz contributed to this project as the project designer, seeing the project through from programming, to space planning, furniture system selections, and construction administration.

The challenge was to completely redesign a 25,000 SF laboratory into a 140-person office space.  The work was for a non-profit organization helping the lives of battered children, and the design had to fulfill the productivity, circulation, and complex programming needs of 5 different departments while meeting a tight construction budget of $1 million.
